Azkaar refers to various words and phrases of remembrance that Muslims recite throughout the day to express gratitude, seek protection, and draw closer to Allah. These supplications can be recited silently or aloud, and they range from simple phrases such as “SubhanAllah” (Glory be to Allah) to longer invocations for specific needs.
The importance of Azkaar is emphasized in the Quran and Sunnah, with numerous verses and hadiths reminding believers to remember Allah constantly. Allah says in the Quran:
“O you who believe! Remember Allah with much remembrance.”
(Surah Al-Ahzab 33:41)
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) also advised his companions to maintain daily Azkaar, highlighting the spiritual and emotional benefits of remembering Allah throughout life’s moments.
